This is official: Chris Evans is a married man! According to Page Six, the actor known for playing Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe tied the knot with Brazilian-Portuguese actress Alba Baptista on Saturday at his home in Massachusetts.
The intimate wedding gathering consisted solely of close family and friends, with notable attendees such as Evans’ fellow Marvel actors Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner. To ensure the secrecy of the event, guests had to sign NDAs and leave their phones behind.
According to Page Six, the wedding was “beautiful,” and Evans, 42, and Baptista, 26, were “in love” and “happy.”
As per a source who spoke to People in November 2022, this couple had been dating for over a year before their marriage. Their relationship was described as “serious,” and Baptista had the approval of Evans’ family and friends.
Fans of the actor celebrated the news on social media. Some were delighted for their favorite star, while others joked, “This should’ve been me, IG.” Another fan commented, “He’s still my man.” One fan even quipped, “I want to know what magic Alba Baptista used to win over Chris Evans.”
