Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborah-Lee, have made the decision to end their marriage. After spending 27 years together, they announced their separation in a joint statement.
In a statement shared with the public, Hugh and Deborah said, “We have been incredibly fortunate to have had nearly three decades of a loving and extraordinary marriage as husband and wife. Our journey is now taking a different path, and we have decided to separate in order to further our personal growth.”
“Our unwavering commitment to our family’s well-being remains steadfast and unwavering, as we venture into this new phase with heartfelt appreciation, boundless affection, and a profound sense of compassion. We sincerely thank you for your consideration in safeguarding our cherished moments of solitude as our family adapts to this transition,” the declaration continued.
Hugh and Deborah have two children together, Oscar and Ava.

Their love story began when they met on the set of the Australian TV series ‘Corelli’ in 1995. Shortly after, they started dating and got married on April 11, 1996, just within a year of meeting each other.
An interesting aspect of their relationship was the age difference, with Deborah being 13 years older than Hugh. This age gap became a topic of discussion among fans during their marriage.
Recalling their first meeting with Deborah, Hugh Jackman shared, “Deb, she was a big star. I had a crush on her. We met on the set, I lifted her up in the air, and then, she went off to her trailer “I distinctly recall the moment when the thought crossed my mind, ‘There’s something about her that I find truly captivating.
This year in April, the couple celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary, with Hugh posting a heartfelt message to Deborah on Instagram.
In his post, Hugh wrote, “I love you so much. We’ve built a beautiful family together. And life. Your grace, your light, your passion, your humor, your cheekiness, your sacrifice, and your love is an extraordinary gift to me.”
Recently, the couple was seen cheering on players at the 2023 Wimbledon tennis tournament. They also participated together in the Met Gala in May this year.
