On Friday, Jonathan marked his four-year anniversary on Instagram with a heartfelt tribute to his girlfriend.

The lovebirds first met in August 2019 during the shooting of an episode of ‘Carpool Karaoke‘ with Jonathan’s twin brother and HGTV co-star, Drew Scott, and Zooey’s older sister, Bones star Emily Deschanel.
After completing the filming of the episode, the group decided to continue the fun with karaoke and spent an extended time hanging out. Sparks flew between Jonathan and Zooey, and they started sending messages to each other every day afterward.

After the two-year renovation, the couple unveiled their newly refurbished home in a cover story for the June issue of People magazine. Enthralled by the timeless allure, Jonathan eloquently portrayed the 1938 Georgian property as “a resplendent dwelling resonating with captivating tales of its rich history.
Reflecting upon their newfound abode, Zooey effused, “It’s a haven of beauty and practicality, perfectly tailored to accommodate our family and our precious little ones. Jonathan has been doing it for his clients for so long, and now he’s done it for us and our family.”
During a special interview with PEOPLE in March, Jonathan expressed how meaningful the home renovation was for him.
“Nothing is more important than home,” he said. “And as I get older, I find that I’m so drawn to being at home with the kids and with Zooey. [We] designed this house to solve any problems that might come up.”
