About ‘Argylle’
The first trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s spy drama movie was released Thursday morning, and in the clip, we see more of the director’s trademark cunning action and a glimpse of Henry Cavill getting his hair cut.
The trailer provides more clues about the story of Argylle. We learn that Argyle (Cavill) is a fictional super spy whose life takes a twist when his new book reveals too much truth for real-life spies. Cue the hunt. Oh, and he’s got his cat as a sidekick.
Apple Original Film/Universal Pictures’ Vaughn is familiar territory for them, with their previous three films, ‘Kingsman Trilogy,’ all being made in the spy genre and all carrying Vaughn’s signature humor.
Among the all-star cast of are Cavill, Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L. Jackson, and Dua Lipa. Following Cena’s debut with ‘Barbie,’ this film marks British music superstar Dua Lipa’s second feature film.
The screenplay is written by Jason Fuchs and produced by Cloudy Productions and Vaughn’s regular collaborators Adam Bohling and David Reid alongside Fuchs. Ziggy Kamasa, Carlos Perez, Claudia Vaughn, and Adam Fishback serve as executive producers.
