Jones said, “I’m not an athlete.” “I was never picked in gym class. I was a cheerleader, I was a dancer, but I’m not an athlete. When I turned 40, I wanted to change the narrative in my head that I can do hard things, so I started training for a half marathon and I made a promise that I would never do it again.”
Jones passionately voiced, “As the finale drew near, my feet found themselves enveloped in a bewildering amazement, prompting them to inquire, ‘What unfolded in that very moment?'”
“Thus, at the age of 45, I find myself embarking on the pursuit of formidable challenges once more, as evidenced by my intention to participate in the upcoming New York City Marathon!” ”Sheinelle Jones” announced enthusiastically.
41-year-old Bush Hager joked that Jones needs to be on the cover of a women’s health magazine.

Bush Hager enthusiastically expressed, “Your ability to manage a myriad of tasks while steadfastly preparing to partake in the New York Marathon truly leaves me in awe!”
Jones, who first joined ‘Today’ in 2014, told her co-host that “everyone’s biggest criticism is that I don’t have time.”
“I have three young kids, I have a high-pressure job, I travel for work, and everyone says ‘We don’t have time.’ But we have time to make time for ourselves,” Jones said. “I need to stay true to that. Whether it requires scheduling because I pick up my kids from school every day, like, I’ll figure it out, and I’ll change the narrative that we can’t do things because we don’t have time.”
Jones is the mother of twin daughters Uche and Clara Josephine (10) and son Cai (13).
”Sheinelle Jones” told Bush Hager that she will be running the marathon with two experienced runners from the ‘Today’ show. She said, “I want to prove that the average girl, we can do this.”
Jones said, “I’m 4 feet 11 inches, I’m not a model, I’m not a runner, but we can do this,” so please pray for me, friends. I’m doing this to prove to all of us that we can do this.”
