Michael Fassbender stars in this neo-noir film that unfolds a dark tale of an assassin losing his mind over time. The official synopsis of the film reads, “After a catastrophic accident, an assassin engages in an international manhunt led by his employers and himself, insisting that he is not a man of interest.” Based on a French graphic novel series by Alexis Nolent, the screenplay of the upcoming film is tailored by Andrew Kevin Walker, the very person who penned the screenplay for the acclaimed Fight Club, featuring Brad Pitt. However, Fassbender won’t be carrying the film alone as the Irish-German actor is joined by a stellar cast that includes names like Tilda Swinton, Arliss Howard, Sophie Charlotte, and Charles Parnell.

The project has been in the works for quite some time as Paramount Pictures secured the rights to the film back in 2007, also announcing that Fincher would direct “The Killer.” In an interview with the original novel’s author that same year, Alexis Nolent, known by his pseudonym Matz, stated, “A hitman is a character who gives us permission to deal with situations in a non-repentant, non-judgmental way. So it gives us permission to tell a story that is as much about his mental state as about his actions.”
